Staying Busy

Well, I'm finally pretty much over the stomach pains. As long as I don't push myself really hard and don't bend over a lot I'm ok. This has enabled me to get my house cleaner again and to go to the park with my boys.
Unfortunately I've had a migraine since Sunday, which has slowed me down again. Hopefully it will go away soon.
My boys have done some fun things lately. We have a bunch of little bears that are used for counting activities. They came in a package of 50, but I'm sure we have less than that now. We also have a bunch of Chevron cars. Kaleb and Von have been cramming as many bears into each car as they can and then driving them around.
Yesterday Kaleb found his matchbox cars and played with them for a couple of hours. When Karl got home he taught Kaleb how to parallel park, which Kaleb can do pretty well. He kept playing and this is what it looked like when he was done:

KBull 93 Rocks!

A few nights ago Karl called in to our radio station and won some tickets to a concert. We were excited because it's a free concert, even though they aren't our favorite singers. However, he also qualified to win tickets to another concert. This one in San Diego.
So this morning at 7:15 we were listening to the radio on the off chance that they would actually say his name. And they did!!!! So we get to go to San Diego and see Toby Keith and Trace Adkins!!!!! We're WAY excited!

Thank You

I was thinking a lot over the weekend about those who have gone before us, especially the veterans. On Saturday I was listening to the radio and they had a tribute to our troops. It talked about the many wars that have happened that involved American soldiers and all those who sacrificed. By the time the tribute was over I was crying and thinking about how grateful I am.
Thank you to all who have served, are serving, or have supported those who serve. I'm very grateful for you! Here are pictures of some of the great soldiers from our country. I only had a picture of 1 in uniform.

My New Toy

I got a new toy! For any of you who don't recognize it by the picture, I'll explain what it is. This is a Machine Quilter. Mom has wanted one of these for a long time, but didn't want one enough to learn how to use it. I learned how to use my friend's and this week she asked if I wanted to buy it.
Mom and Dad picked it up today and reassembled it in my sewing room/baby room. We only have it set up to do quilts up to 60" long, but have the parts to add to the frame when we want to.

I'm very excited about it! Hopefully quilting Mom's quilts this way will end up saving her money because she won't have to send them out to be done.
